Kip Alden Neweduk

Kip (they/them), is a genderqueer forest school mentor who seeks to re-enliven the child-like wonders and spirits that we may have lost along the way of growing into our adult selves. They believe accessing space for playfulness in our lives is one of the many beautiful ways we can reconnect and help to heal our relationships with our little ones within. With Kip’s background in land-based education & relational somatics they will facilitate a variety of games that represent some of the ecological relationships connecting all around us, as well as hold space for reintegrating a felt sense of our inner-children.

Above all else, Kip believes in the power of play as a doorway into a type of embodiment that allows us to show up more wholly for tending the needs of the cultural wounding in our modern world. At a time when the need for systems-wide transformation is so deeply needed, Kip believes the ability for our nervous systems to be adaptable, attuned and playful is essential to our imagining and birthing of new paradigms of being.

Are you a queer or allied learning facilitator or healer? Do you desire to share your skills and gifts in the community? Are you in need of a platform to promote your work? This offering gives you an opportunity to share your offering in an in-person or online setting through the Queer Directions Plateform and receive mentorship and community support in the process.

Please see our values section to make sure your work aligns with the Queer Directions Learning center vision statement. If so, join up with the Edge School Network.

This is a platform for a variety of facilitators to hold space for magical outdoor learning. Twice a month amongst the network of mentors, we can schedule and take turns facilitating as we feel inspired. Rue will coordinate scheduling and promote the offerings. When Rue has received your write up, they’ll reach out with follow up questions and proposed scheduling. Prospective mentors must submit a proposal: See The Edge School Workshop Proposal Template.
